The Economy in my opinion

Here goes!

America is no longer a Super Power. We will no longer be one of the richest nations very soon. NAFTA and our customs import practices have allowed us to export jobs. The internet made it easier. We are hemoraging jobs. We are purchasing imported material. In 10 years, we will have an average income similar to the rest of the world. We need to stop now with funding poor nations. We need to increase our import fees. We need to groom our children to find jobs that are in service industries that cannot be exported. Plumbers, lawyers, doctors, teachers will all be jobs that stay here.

As a nation, we are in trouble. Most of us just don't know it yet.

I completely agree that we need to redirect our children into different fields. We have an HVAC (heating and air conditioning) business and it's practically impossible to find good employees because good students are told to go to college for a good future, but now we have all these college graduates who can't find jobs while service industries are begging for good workers. Unfortunately, I can foresee the Mexicans stepping up and filling these positions before our education 'leaders' will admit that sending all kids to college isn't a good thing. Higher education is big business and they sure don't want to discourage as many kids as possible from filling the roles and paying all that high tuition every year!

Yeah, but think of all the families in Arab countries, like UAE, who will get rich from selling us oil and taking over our ports! Thanks W & cronies! Glad your trust fund children won't have to work as hard as I do!

Sorry, had to insert a wee bit of liberal ranting!
