This was a saying we had in the Army. Most of you won't get it but it still makes me laugh. It probably shouldn't but it does.
The other rule of thumb was if you crossed the Mississippi, you were no longer legally married in what ever state you happened to be in.
Again, not really funny but tonight something made me think of it.
