This year my son's Elementary School participated in Marathon Kids. It is a program where kids from all over Texas sign up to run a marathon but in 1 mile segments over a period of 6 months. I think it is a great idea and we went and ran the kick off this morning. There were about 6000 kids there with their parents. They brought busloads of people in from DISD. Maybe we need to get those girls that went to the hospital after the run at Decatur Middle School to participate in something like this to get them shaped up a little physically.
